Sunstorm Games was founded in Indianapolis in 1995, and consisted of six employees. Back then we were known as Sunstorm Interactive, and we put our first mark of innovation on the computer gaming industry by creating a DOS-based platform called Skunny. Not long after that we became the first company to bring a realistic 3D outdoor experience to the PC, with our Deer Hunter series. Sure it was a game, but people in the nineties had been eagerly awaiting something that would transcend the limits of their screens and joysticks, something they could finally and truly call Simulator. The Deer Hunter series expanded to include several other titles and would become a decade-long standard-bearer for realistic hunting games. In 2002 we expanded our staff, moved into a larger office and turned our focus to third-party expansion packs for games like Redneck Rampage, Duke Nukem 3D and Blood.
